West Tower is a beautiful countryside wedding venue in Aughton, Ormskirk, set in the rolling Lancashire countryside. The natural light throughout the venue makes it perfect for soft, flawless bridal makeup that photographs beautifully.

For Jenny’s West Tower wedding makeup, we created a timeless look with radiant skin and elegant tones designed to feel comfortable while lasting from the morning preparations through to the evening celebrations.

Originally built in 1885 as a family home, West Tower is now exclusively a wedding venue and provides a romantic setting for a wedding day. The bridal suite is stunning, featuring a four-poster bed, original fireplace and roll-top bath, while the grounds offer plenty of beautiful locations for photography.

The venue also provides a separate getting-ready room, which is where bridal preparations took place on the morning of Jenny’s wedding. It was a busy but enjoyable morning, with the bride, four bridesmaids and a flower girl all having makeup done. I was kindly assisted by local makeup artist Jenny Clayton to ensure everything ran smoothly and on time.

One important detail to note when planning a wedding at West Tower is that bridal parties and suppliers are usually able to access the venue from 8am. If you have a larger bridal party or an earlier ceremony, it may be helpful to consider booking additional hair or makeup artists so the morning remains relaxed and unhurried.
