Broadoaks Country House is located in the heart of the Lake District National Park. It's a gorgeous place to get married with such beautiful grounds.
I had the pleasure of working at Broadoaks Country House recently to provide the bridal makeup for Melanie and her bridal party.
There is a little wooden lodge on the grounds of the broadoaks estate where Melanie chose to stay the night before the wedding, this is where we did the bridal prep on the wedding morning too. The lodge is perfect for families and has an indoor and an outdoor jacuzzi, it is also very spacious and allows dogs. Melanies bridal party consisted of the bride, mother of the groom and Melanies daughter Halle. Halle was the cutest bridesmaid I have ever had the pleasure to makeup, full of confidence, a natural poser and a great little hugger. After doing Halle’s makeup I got the biggest hug from her which was just so cute. Melanie chose a classic red lip with a natural base and a subtle smokey eye with lashes for her wedding makeup. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Melanies mother who doesn’t usually wear makeup decided to give me a free hand with her makeup so I created a natural look using a Nars tinted moisturiser, some baby lashes and rose pink smokey eye finished off with a bit of blush and bronzer and a rose pink lip. The hairdresser was Gareth Lambert from Aqua salon in Bowness.
Here are a few pictures from the big day perfectly captured by Adam from AJ Photography. Adam has done such a great job of capturing what looks like a perfect day at Broadoaks Country House. Not only is Adam a great photographer, he’s also a lovely guy and very unobtrusive. I would highly recommend Adam if you are looking for a photographer to capture your wedding day.
If you are planning your wedding at the Broadoaks Country House hotel and you are looking for a bridal makeup artist, drop me a message, I would be delighted to assist you.
