♥ Welcome to my new Makeup Studio ♥

I have been very busy this month decorating the makeup studio.
I have been wanting to redecorate for a while now but I have been putting it off as I have found it quite difficult to find suitable pieces of furniture that are both practical for a makeup studio and nice looking.

After a few months of pondering what to do with the room I came across this chest of drawers in an antique shop and I thought it would be perfect for my makeup studio as it has so many drawers.
I purchased some drawer dividers to go inside the drawers and they work really well as my makeup is easily accessible and neatly organised.
I am a huge fan of the Farrow and Ball paints and I have always wanted to try some bold colours in my house so I thought I would be a bit daring and go for dark blue walls.
I’m lucky I have quite a big window in this room so I still have lots of natural light in the room and I have also added some professional makeup lighting for those late afternoon appointments.
Another new addition to the room is the couch.
Quite often my clients arrive with a friend or relative so now they have somewhere to wait in comfort.
The couch also works well for my bridal consultations, it means I can sit and have a nice, relaxed chat with my brides to be prior to their bridal trials.

I finished off the room with a little gallery wall displaying my recent work, certificates and awards and a side table full of bridal magazines and makeup books.

I look forward to welcoming you to my new makeup studio soon ♥
